Draw a Story About: Hansel and Gretel

Lots of fairy tale books have beautiful illustrations that help add depth and detail to the tale. Just like writers, illustrators are also storytellers – but instead of telling stories with words, they use images, colour and texture to depict emotions and events.

In this video, local illustrator and graphic designer Ayip “narrates” the story of Hansel and Gretel through illustration and animation. Watch as the familiar tale comes to life and Hansel and Gretel visit the witch’s candy house!

Afterwards, download and print ayip’s illustrations to decorate the Witch’s candy house, re-creating your version of Hansel and Gretel.
